Description:
Visible in this photo pair are the park road cutting across the upper right corner of the frame, the Thorofare River cutting across the lower left corner of the frame, the Muldrow Glacier in the area south of the river, and the broad plain of upland vegetation between. The most visible change in this photo pair is the shrinking of several ponds. What could be causing this change? Can you name a couple of different factors? Do you think the loss of ponds in this area has changed the way the area is used by mammals and birds?
