This boundaries of this photo pair are completely within the Muldrow Glacier. The McKinley River in the middle, the lake in the upper right corner, and the large lake in the lower left are all part of the Muldrow Glacier complex - an extremely active area of the park. The constantly moving "river of ice" that comprises this 34 mile long glacier has many different features. This section of the glacier is largely vegetated, but still greatly influenced by the ice that underlays the immature soils. What types of changes do you spot in this photo pair? How many of them are influenced by melting ice?
