This photo pair shows the large open floodplain of the upper Thorofare River looking up the Glacier Creek drainage. Note the obvious increase in vegetative cover in the 2005 photo relative to the earlier one. This is particularly evident in the right (west) side of the frame directly in line with Glacier Creek. This is a highly active floodplain area in which a cabin was buried entirely in the river gravels over the period from 1950-2005 (search for "Copper+Mountain+Cabin" to see photo pairs capturing this change!).
