Description:
This photo pair covers a broad swath of the landscape just north of the Thorofare River. Many changes are visibile in this photo pair, do you see them? View the annotation for help in finding the following features: (a) a shrinking pond being colonized by new vegetation; (b) the Moose Creek drainage becoming colonized by woody vegetation; (c) beaver activity on a small stream draining into the Thorofare River; and (d) changes to the hydrology of the small stream (likely due to beaver activity) and an apparent increase in shrubs in the drainage. Although a closer look would be necessary to fully understand the each of the changes visible in this pair, one can be sure that change is happening throughout the landscape on many different scales!
