Description:
Unlike most of the other photo pairs, this pair draws your attention to more subtle changes occurring on slightly different scales. Some of these changes are only temporary, such as the cycle of seasonal change, evident in the vibrant fall colors of the earlier photo. Even the daily movement of the earth around the sun is a change that cycles through every day. Notice the different placing of shadows in these two photos? When comparing repeat photos it is important to take note of these types of changes and consider them in your analysis of what the larger scale patterns are. For example, be sure you arent mistaking a shadow for a forest, or shrubs without leaves as tundra. Do you see any landscape-scale changes occupying over the period this photo pair covers? What about changes important for a single moose that likes to browse near the patch of spruce trees in the right middle of the frame?
