This photo pair was taken from the Alaska Railroad Depot looking north. The original depot buildings have been torn down and replaced with new ones as train service and visitation to the park has increased. Also notice what appears to be a dramatic invasion of shrubs from the subalpine zone into the alpine on Mt. Healy, the mountain in the upper left corner of the frame.
